Sunrise in Plymouth...
It's Friday morning, the sun is shining, the air feels crisp...I was up at 5am...restless. I put on my robe and went out on the porch, huddled under my Red Sox quilt and watched the sun come up over the harbor. The colors and the light were so beautiful...just an awesome time of day to soak it all in. Spent a little time feeling sorry for myself (again), read for awhile, and now am getting on with the new day...feeling better, and once again, grateful for this little spot in the world.

This morning at 6:35 am I was doing water aerobics and devoting the entire hour to you. The sun was rising, but the view very much different from yours. I was thinking about making a comment on your blog when I get home. Then I read your most recent ..."Sunrise in Plymouth".....funny, huh?
Do you remember the song from the movie, "Beaches"? "You are the wind beneath my wings". I don't mean to sound corny, but that is what you are to me. You are an inspiration and most importantly you are teaching us all about living life. Our trip to Italy was not only the trip of a lifetime, but a trip of Love. How do people go through the twists and turns of life without the love, closeness, and warmth of family and friends? We shed how many tears in Italy....from laughing! You were able to put aside the "culprit" and make sure that Carole, Lindsay, Kaitlyn, and me had 9 glorious days. No complaints from you, ever. Just tons of serious fun and laughter.
You will, without a doubt, have your days...but rest assured you will never be alone. Your positive energy and strength are a gift to everyone who knows you.
Thanks, God, for giving me a sister like you.
Love, Brenda
such a beautiful post.
Dearest Bev,
We love you!!
I was reminded of the story in Ex. 17:10-13. Israel is in a battle with the Amalekites, a fierce and nasty enemy. Joshua was leading the troops and as long as Moses "held up his hands", the Israelites were winning in the battle. But, as Moses' arms tired and lowered, the Israelites would begin to fail. Moses' trusted men, Aaron and Hur, came along side and held up his arms for him. The Israelites won the battle!
Be confident of this-we are all- your friends and family- coming alongside to hold up your arms. We continue to pray for you-strength and wisdom for direction.
Thanks for the Italy news. It sounds like you all had an excellent time.
Will be waiting to hear what the nutritionist suggests.
All our love, Ron & Lyn
What a spot that was, Mom! I'm glad you got to enjoy it. And you sure knew what you had and appreciated it. Celebrated it, as your sign said.
That sunrise from your bedroom windows was spectacular. I love that you didn't even have curtains or blinds on those windows. Some would want to keep the light out so as to be able to sleep longer. But not you.
Love, Keith
